Massage is the manipulation of muscles, leading to benefit for all the body systems.
Swedish Massage is one of the popular relaxing technique practice all over the world. Many spa promotes Swedish Body massage as it is suitable for everyone, for all ages.
By learning this technique, you can perform at any spa, salon or even at your home.
What am I going to learn?
The aim of this course is to teach students the basics of health and hygiene, Massage benefits, professional ethics, contra-indications, and aftercare.
The student will also learn the movements and techniques required to perform a professional treatment during the practical sessions. Such as:
- Effleurage
- Petrissage
- Friction
- Vibration
- Tapotement
How will I know I have learned this ?
Students who successfully complete the course, must pass their exam and submit the experiential assignment.
The student will be awarded Certificate -1 in Swedish Body Massage.
Assessments tools will be used for Verification of Accomplishment.
Those who complete the course are also eligible for a 30% discount on the Diploma in Spa Therapy course
What Resources, Strategies, And Experiences Will I Use To Learn This?
- The course is conducted in English and Nepalese Language.
- The course consists 20% theory and 80% Practical sessions.
- Hands out will be provided at the end of the course.
Exams
Students must have 95% class attendance in order to participate in the exams. Students must pay Rs. 850 as a penalty fee for re-sit exams.
Entry Requirements
- Student must be 18 years or above
- Minimum S.L.C pass but not mandatory.
- Physically fit and passionate about spa industry.
