Course Overview
Build the practical skills, professional knowledge and confidence required to begin a career in the spa and wellness industry.
The Diploma in Spa Therapy program equips you with professional spa and beauty therapy skills—covering massages, exfoliation, waxing, manicure & pedicure—under the guidance of a CIDESCO-certified instructor.
6-month paid internships are offered for graduates.
Aim of the Course & Learning Outcomes
Training is delivered through approximately 80% practical and 20% theory-based learning, with supervised practice, module assessments and an internship pathway for eligible graduates.
This course engages students in a slow-paced, deeper learning experience—with extended practice sessions on various body anatomies—to build genuine competence and confidence.
Throughout the training, students will learn the industry's best practices and build up ethical standards and moral values required to excel as a professional spa therapist or future spa entrepreneur.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Head-To-Toe massage therapy techniques.
- Apply personal care services as a beauty therapist in a spa and salon settings.
- Analyze human anatomy and physiology to provide safe, effective, and client-centered treatments.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and client management in line with spa industry ethics.
- Present as a professional spa researcher and conduct critical study of spa practices and emerging wellness trends.

Course Structure
Mode of Study: in-person practical & theory sessions.
Schedule: 5-hours per day (Sun–Fri)
Assessment: Observation, Q&A, exam, and guided practice.
Exam: Module-based exams
Assignment: 1500-word research & presentation.
Internship: Mandatory, 6-months.
The program is designed for beginners, existing therapists and aspiring spa entrepreneurs who want comprehensive training rather than a short massage course.
Career Pathway & Recognition
AIPA’s Diploma qualification is nationally and internationally recognized. After completion, you can:
- Join in as a spa therapist.
- Start own spa business.
- Manage or Administer a Day spa, or Spa Resort.
- Assist Spa Supervisor or Spa Cluster Director.
Pre-Requisites
Age & literacy: Minimum age usually 18; ability to comprehend English or Nepalese language. Prior qualification: No formal prior massage qualification is required. Health: Physically fit for practical training.
